Shrimp Alfredo Recipe

Of all the Alfredo recipes you can find, the shrimp alfredo recipe must be the easiest and fastest one to cook. It is really a lot easier to cook than what one might expect. This is especially true when you compare it to other seafood dishes of the same category. You go in the kitchen and come back out after a few minutes with a scrumptious dish. What You Need

4 cups cooked fettuccini

1/4 teaspoon of salt

1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper

1/3 cup Parmesan, grated

1/3 cup of milk

1/2 cup cream cheese (cut into cubes)

1 pound of uncooked small shrimp

1 tablespoon of minced garlic

1/4 cup butter, cubed

How to this Cook Shrimp Alfredo Recipe

Put your butter in a skillet and turn the heat up to medium. Add garlic and then just let the butter melt. Once you have the butter melted completely toss in the shrimp. Keep sautéing the shrimp for about a couple of minutes. If you want, you may even have the shrimp cooked well or just somewhat blanched. It all depends on your individual taste. When you’re done take the shrimp out and set them aside in a covered bowl.

Grab salt, pepper, Parmesan cheese, and cream cheese. Using the same skillet you used for the shrimp melt the said ingredients in low heat. Mix up all these ingredients until the flavors have blended well. Now add the shrimp you set aside until everything gets nice and warm. Stir all the ingredients in the skillet until all the flavors have been taken in by the shrimp. Take the skillet off the heat and pour the shrimp mixture onto the cooked fettuccini. Cooking Notes

The four cups of cooked fettuccini will be the equivalent of 16oz of uncooked fettuccini. You will have to cook the pasta beforehand. Cooking the said pasta while getting the other ingredients ready will amount to a total cooking time of about 15 minutes. So if you have guests waiting you should consider this amount of time you’ll be spending in the kitchen.

You may use half-and-half instead of the cream cheese to this shrimp alfredo recipe if you so choose. You may also add other ingredients and spices if you wish. For instance, you may add parsley or artichoke hearts that have been diced, marinated, and drained. This dish is easy to whip up and alter according to your desired taste.
